My inspiration for this song is multilayered: Marguerite Viby inspired my singing style in the verses. She was the biggest danish movie star in the 1900’s, always playing the happy go lucky type. Sebastian - my favorite singer/songwriter inspired the song - because I wrote it as a duet in mind with him. The passing of my father & all the others we’ve lost, to the mystery that is death, inspired the lyrics. My hope is that when more consider death on a daily basis, they will live more fully and won't wait to do the thing that they burn for.
The song is in a 432 hz tuning and it's called ”Livets Dans” - Dance of Life – and it is an ode to this old Scandinavian song style, to life and death and the magic within a lifespan that we today are completely oblivious to with our ”smart” phones and busy lifes.
